Wheels: Ritchey DS Pros. Cycled for less than 200 miles. Still true. 20 spokes on front wheel, 24 on back. Shimano cassette compatible. Comes with Continental Ultra Sport tyres and tubes. Price: €120.

Brakes: Black Tektro R580s. Same mileage as wheels. Virtually no wear on blocks. Can't find a price but CRC used to state their full RRP at €38. Asking for €25.

    Will deliver in Dublin area.

are these wheels from a boardman team carbon? if so, I have a set of those wheels and I really like them. I have done thousands of km on them with no problems. GLWS!

Right, here's the pics. In truth I'm not sure what I should have tried to focus on so let me know if there's a particular bit you'd like to see in close-up. If there was a scratch to highlight I would but they're pretty immaculate.

offer 100 for wheels can collect.

Meet me halfway (€110) and they're yours. (And I'll still deliver if that helps.)

I think he has to accept Kingoffifa's offer as he lowered his asking price in post #9 and Kingoffifa matched it in post #10.

Ye he did lower his offer, and if you look carefully he lowered it to me!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,021 ✭✭✭rflynnr

@ Seanah: that was also my understanding. However, having looked at the rules there is scope for ambiguity as to what constitutes an asking price - if post 9 definitively constituted a new asking price then the wheels are Kingoffifas.

Could a mod offer a ruling here?

(I should also restate that the delivery offer was limited to the Dublin area - as per the original post - which may change Kellster78's position.)

Asking price was lowered to 110, and first to offer it was Kingoffifa, so they get it

    Thanks

Dunno about that Beasty.. he lowered it in discussion with kellster who accepted it... Kellster should have first dibs I reckon. He should have been allowed to answer first. As a seller thats the fair and honorable thing to do and what I always do.. because at the end of the day... online buying and selling your word and rep are everything. I'd be feeling hard done by there if I was kellster. Anyway, I'm not a mod and wouldn't be for a million dollars and a board's jet so what do I know!

lol - second day I have been entangled in a bidding war... look at the gore jacket thread :)

I wasn't really looking at thread. got screwed by my lbs looking for ribmo tyres ("yeah we will have those in next week") today was next week -"oh we have to put the order in..."

i need a new back wheel for the commuter. this was two birds one stone type thing. saw 110 and bid.

I am all about the peace love and tofu. let kellster have the wheels. He offered asking anyway.

As soon as he agreed to accept 110, that became the new price, and it was open to anyone to get their offer at asking in. It may look a little harsh, but that's the only way we can really apply the rules without having to be judgemental on how long the OP should wait to hear back.

However as kingoffifa has very kindly offered to let Kellster78 conclude the deal, I am happy with that.

@ kingofififa - you're a gentleman. Thank you for offering a way out of a potentially intractable situation.

@ kellster78 (equally a gentleman). Can I take it that your offer of €110 still stands? I should again stress that I can't deliver it to Waterford but will facilitate any pickup you care to arrange.
