Hi all, everyone on this thread seems well informed so I am hoping you can help me. I am getting married in about 6 months, i still havent a dress and am freaking out, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a dress designer or dress maker who could design me a dress or make me one from scratch? I have a few ideas I would like to talk to someone about and am open to suggestion. Someone suggested Matt Doody to me as well as Clare Garvey, has anyone any experience with them around wedding dresses? All suggestions appreciated as I really feel I am running out of time! Thanks all

If you don't find a dress maker maybe the sample sales are an option? Kathy de Stafford is holding one on the 30th of September...she stocks an amazing range of dresses :) happy planning.

Bev Flood in the Loft Market (http://www.facebook.com/theloftmarket) designs and makes wedding dresses, she could work? Always ask to see previous designs first with anyone to make sure they design dresses you like! Good luck OP!

    Hi MIssyb,
I just see your message now.

Claire Garvey made my dress and I was SOOOOOOO happy with it.:D

If you like PM me your email and I can send you photo's as my dress wasnt quiet as exotic as some of her designs.

    Hi,

Would you mind giving me an idea of how much your wedding dress cost to make (or pm me)?

I am a bridesmaid for my sister about 4 weeks after I give birth and am getting married myself in about 10 months....want to get both dresses made. My wedding dress I want in a different colour, and I just want my bridesmaid dress to fit properly. Thanks!

Sorry to butt in, but is this your first baby? There is a lot of standing up involved in being a bridesmaid, and not to be too icky, but if you have stitches anywhere with that birth, you might be in trouble managing all the standing and sitting so soon.

For mother if the bride dresses, my mum likes to get hers from nordstom.com Three from there over the past few years, all fab designers, and a bit different to the standard Mother Of The Bride fare here.
