    Folks,
I got a new Panasonic TV recently but I have noticed that the sound quality on the RTE channels is much poorer than the other channels. The only feed is from the Sky satellite dish via Sky+ box. I have also installed a triax combi box to feed another another television and this is fed from the same satellite dish and the sound is fine on all channels. Is it possible for some channels to have poor sound quality and the others to be fine...or am I going mad  Help and thanks!

    Which model Sky+ Digibox?
How is it connected to the TV?
Describe what you mean by "poor".

"poor" = distortion of sound making it unclear but easily understood, as if the speakers were somewhat damaged. It is only on RTE channels and possible other Irish terrrestials. I have adjusted the sound controls on the TV but it does not eliminate the distortion. BBC, ITV, SKY etc seem fine if not brilliant.

Sky+ box is a Pace model,

Connections to the TV I will have to check and come back on.

    Thanks for replying!

OK, you haven't stated which Pace model but, since Pace haven't manufactured any for several years, it's old and may be faulty. Try a different Digibox.

If you are using a Scart lead try a different scart lead. Also try to conenct to a different scart connector on the TV end.
