Raycun cleared out his stash, I've put them through the wash & am donating them to this homeless charity. I just rang her to see where they are etc and she was really grateful for the pending donation, they have no shoes at all at the moment.
So if you have runners that are no longer any good for running in this would be a great place for them to go.

    Bride Road, Dublin 8, Ireland
(Access: End wall of Iveagh Hostel building, down steps – blue door facing Patrick Street)

Open to the public: Weekday mornings only.

Thanks. Since I moved my runners into their new shoe room :D The pairs I no longer wear are making me sad that they have been neglected for so long. I had a black bin bag opened ready to dispose of them, but this too made me sad. I might be able to part with them if I can find a home for them.

Though I'd rather do a send them to Africa sort of thing so they can be used for the purpose that they were created for and they can live out their life long dream of moving fast. :(

Just around the corner from where I live, so can lash a few pairs in a black bag and bring them over :)

I'm going to set up a collection point in our shop in Galway if anyone wants to drop off (clean) shoes. I'll arrange to have them delivered to Trust from here.

    Simply drop your shoes off.

Why not make a similar arrangement with a homeless charity in Cork?

Went in this morning & they were thrilled with the donation, and the call from AK.
She showed me around and explained the work they do and it really is a worthwhile cause.
They are very short on shoes, jeans and jackets and have decent storage space so would very much appreciate any donations you have.

I was actually gonna chuck out a load of shoes as its getting ridiculous pack at el rancho tunguska. Feckin' running shoes everywhere. Will drop 'em off asap.

    Thanks for the initiative dotcomdolly.

Just to highlight that shoes need to be clean and usable. I've had to reject one or two pairs today that, to be honest, weren't even fit for the bin never mind someones feet.

John from John Buckley's Sports have kindly offered to be a drop off location for "gently used" & clean runners to be donated to the Simon Community in Cork. You just need to drop the runners into their shop in town. Maybe a good idea to tie both laces together also before doing so. http://www.johnbuckleysports.com/ for info on how to get to the shop. If the runners are damaged with holes etc then they are only good for the bin but if there is life still in them and a in a wearable condition please drop them off and help support this great cause in Cork.
