    What is surprising about that chart is over the last 30 years with the advances in technology injuries and deaths have stayed the same since the 80s. You would think the numbers would have declined especially in the last ten years.

    The tri-state tornado back in the 1920s is the longest path ever recorded. I think it was over 200 miles long.
    In the massive outbreak in April last year, I think there was at least one tornado that went for over 100 miles.
    I presume that map doesn't include those using the Enhanced Fujita scale.
