Hi, a little bit of help needed, i have 4 coax cables in my sitting room and twin coax cables in each of my 4 bedrooms. i want to put my sky plus box in the sitting room and send a signal from it to the bedrooms via magic eyes, i also want to send saorview to each tv. I will be putting a distribution amp in the attic, what is my best set up with the cables i have available in each room.
    Thanks in advance

2 sat feeds to the Sky receiver
1 Saorview aerial feed to the TV via the Sky receiver (aerial in -> RF1 out to TV)
1 feed back to attic from RF2 out (Saorview + Sky)

TV Link distribution amp in the attic to 4 bedroom TVs (single cable). To view Saorview in the bedrooms a Saorview TV or STB will be required at each TV point.

Co-ax between RF1 and TV if you wish to use the TV's internal Saorview tuner. Scart from Sky receiver to TV will allow you to watch the Irish channels transmitted via Sky.

    Ok that makes sense
Finally i only have a coax and hdmi cable going from sitting room corner to wall where TV is going,i have a standard sky+ box so could i just use rf1 for this tv for sky signal and aerial signal until i upgrade to a hd box?

Yes. When tuning in the TV you'll have to do an analogue (Sky) and digital (Saorview) search to find all channels.

Sorry after reading your question again carefully you can indeed do what you want.

Ideally you should have Saorview, an unsubscribed Sky box and access to the main Sky box in each room.

In each "bedroom" one cable is fed from the RF2 of the Sky box via the booster. The other cable is connected directly to the dish and an old Sky box at the other end. At each TV a Saorview box can be used.

You would need to connect the TV aerial to the "aerial in" on the Sky box. This then goes through the Sky box, out the RF2, up one the the 4 cables to the attic, into the booster and down to the bedrooms.

If you were feeding one of the bedrooms from the amplifier that is fed from rf2 on skybox and had an eye and a saorview box in bedroom how would this be connected?

You mean getting an aerial feed to the Saorview box? Either plug the aerial into the Sky box RF-in, or use a combiner before the distribution amp. Pretty basic stuff.

Do you mean the eye before or after the Saorview box in the bedroom? Test both it both ways and see which works.

 Why wouldn't it? Put the magic eye first in line from the aerial point to make sure it receives power & the 7 mHz control signals get through.

OK wasn't sure if the box would effect the magic eyes operation
