    Hello internetizens,

Can anyone help shed any light on this for me ...

For the past couple of years I have been noticing scrawls on the walls around Tralee, examples of these are Beware of Tesco, Caution of Tesco and Tesco black and tans.

Now I had presumed this was just someone with a issue with Tesco, or maybe the fact that they were a foreign/multinational chain.

But over the weekend I spotted Garveys for beggars

    Anyone have any ideas ?

I'm more concerned with the male genitals drawn on the road signs heading out on the Listowel road. I'm sure it's something to do with the Da Vinci code.

They've got balls, I'll give em that.

They must have had more time when they were approaching Kilflynn, because they went for the giant size.

Someone unfortunately thinks that Tesco has occupied Ireland for 800 years and sent the Black and Tans here because people weren't buying enough groceries.

That's what I thought too but the 'Garveys for beggars' one destroys that hypothesis, Garvey being a local chain.

    yours plexlexed etc.

When this roadsign is unearthed in 3,000 years time, hmm yes..this appears to be a phallic symbol, possibly fertility rites were once carried out in this place called 'Listowel'.

most likely reason is its a code for beggars .... telling where is good to operate and where there is a higher chance of getting caught/moved on !

I'm tempted to correct the spelling, but knowing my luck I'd get caught and done for the whole feckin lot. I'd then get banned from Tesco and Garveys for life, which wouldn't bother me too much.

I'm just disappointed that we don't see the classics anymore

    "i love sex in bed"

    And the critically acclaimed

    "sex in bed is good"

    They must have lacked imagination.

The classics that I remember are the lavatory wall variety

"the future of Ireland is in your hands"

or the one usually written high up on the wall above the urinals:

"while you're trying to read this you're pissing on your shoes."

scrawled underneath would usually be" P O'B loves E O'B",or something to that effect, lots of love going on within th"O'B" group, if you knowhaI mean;)
