Congratulations to everyone involved with the rebel tour 2012, I live in Dublin and only took up cycling last year with three other friends and this was our fifth sportive of the year which included the Wicklow 200, Ring of Kerry and An Post Meath challange.
I have to say the 160km route on the Rebel Tour was the best of the year. The scenery was stunning and it was a tough cycle, even though it was 40km shorter than the Wicklow 200 most of us believed it was harder. The food stops were fantastic and the people at the food stops could not have been more friendly and welcoming, offering to fill our water bottles while we rested and took on much needed fuel for the body. At the second stop where my friend had a puncture (third of the day) one of the ladies even offered to drive home to pick up a race pump as the one they had there was broken. I hope they keep this route for the future as we will definitely be back next year, Congatulations to all involved.
