    Hi all,
Thinking of heading to Thailand in January, and was originally thinking Koh Samui. However, as its a romantic break, someone said that Ko Tao would be a better place? I am thinking of 10 days, would this be long enough?

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks

I spent 6 weeks on Koh Tao- I would definitely head there, but only if you plan on going diving, otherwise there isn't much else to do. It's very small but the people there are all much nicer than anywhere else in Thailand.

Personally I would avoid Samui- really, really touristy and feels pretty depressing.

Thanks for that. I cant swim, or put my head underwater, so there would be zero diving!! Still would like a pool to go into though!

Kao Phanang is the island further out from Kao Tao, real nice and laid back, we stayed in a stunning small resort there in Haat Salad.

    i'd deffo avoid Kao Samui.
