Compensating an elective

I got an e in an elective in the previous sem, but it won't be compensated till Xmas as I won't be completing stage 2 till Xmas, do I drop te elective as a repeat now even though a repeat isn't available till the next sem .. I presume it will be automatically compensated after Xmas results but confused if I have to drop…
