    Hi Guys,
Im flying out onThursday from cork at 0.715 and landing in LHR terminal 1 at about 08.40 . I must catch an international flight at 10.10 in terminal 4 .
Do people think that this is manageable? Unfortunately I booked the tickets separately so this means i will have to pick up my luggage before I head to terminal 4. I booked the CRK-LHR part with Aerlingus and the international part with Air France
any advice or would I be taking too much of a chance?
    cheers
    peter

It's theoretically doable, but doesn't give you much margin for error. If you miss the AF flight due to the Aer Lingus flight being lat etc, remember they have no obligation to reaccomodate you. Personally, I wouldnt do it as by the time your luggage comes out, you get to the station, wait for a train to T4, get to T4 etc checking may already have closed for your onward flight.

    thanks for the reply,
yeah i think its not worth the risk!, i might change my flight from cork, to fly out from dublin instead. That flight leaves about 35 min earlier, so i would have over 2 hours to make the AF flight!, hopefully this would give me enough time!!

That's still a risk pete, given the itinerary is ticketed seperately - Weather, congestion at LHR, waiting for a stand and / or mechanical failure could leave you on the tarmac in Dublin or circling high above London.

Then disembark - walk to carousel & wait for bag - walk to train to T4 - check in bag - pass security - head for gate.

Chances are it's eminently doable IF all runs smoothly - Be sure to check in online for the AF flight.

Ya I would try and get a flight out the evening before and stay near Heathrow, 2 hours isnt a lot considering you have to collect your bags and go through immigration so its likely the check in will be closed by then.
