Not sure if this is the correct place for this , if not MODS could you move ?

im looking for help and fast :(

it looks like the cam on my 01 vw passat 19 tdi ( 130 bhp , engine code awx )has gone - mechanic said cam and buckets are gone, causing lack of power and misfire , i have 2 options , get the already installed head repaired , or get a second hand one

my question - does anyone know where i can get a secondhand head for this FAST - im self employed and im losing money and customers everyday im off the road , and dont want to get rind of the car becasue i have spent money getting it right ( running gear and the like )

i can collect a head from wexford - across to carlow up to kildare and meath , basicly the east coast

ANY help would be appreciated greatly , please PM for full details

    Fingers crossed ;)

while your car off road, and looking for parts, rent a car, or borrow from friends, relatives ... and you can use your own insurance. ... to not loose your customers, off road car shouldn't be an excuse of loosing costumers/business..

There are a couple of remanufactured ones on www.ebay.co.uk.

Don't bother with secondhand stuff. New cam and tappet kits are readily available for comparatively small money.

I could have one here tomorrow in Co Laois for you if that is of any use. Let me know if you want an exact quote.
