    Downloaded a video file and put it on usb to watch on a samsung TV but whatever happened the one file has made folders and renamed other video files and folders on the usb. I scanned with norton and it found ziltch! Just looking for any info on what this is and how it happened or if thers a fix?

    Well, at least it's isolated on a USB stick. Might be worth downloading Stinger and seeing what that throws up, I don't have much faith in Norton myself.

    Can you live without the files on the USB? If you don't find any way of fixing the issue, just format the stick and then run some more virus checks etc. to make sure it's OK.

    Where did you download the file from? Give your main PC a rub of an antivirus program too just in case. I assume the video file was on it at some stage...

    It was from a torrent (the wire) :o the file is still on pc. Hasn't done the same to the pc was able to watch it no problems. Ended up just formating the usb when all the files disapeared on it :eek:
