    MOD NOTE

Seen this in a for sale advert and thought it might be a good central source for anyone with ideas for getting second hand fridges, and freezers.

Why don't you go in to one of the electrical superstores (Curry's,D I D)
They will be getting loads of these back when people buy new fridges and would be delighted to get rid of them

Do currys etc take in old freezers when you buy a new unit, i need an old freezer for game etc and never thought of trying them

Couldn't be sure and we don't have a Currys here but DID in my town certainly do.
Can do no harm to ask though.
Another idea ( and I picked up a Coke fridge this way) is to try your local recycling centre cos all the "white goods" -fridges,cookers,dishwashers can be handed in there free of charge.Only problem would be you could'nt be sure that they will work satisfactorily but what will you lose cos if it isn't working you just bring it back and dispose of it for free:)
