Descending from the Paps

Did the Paps recently and didn't enjoy the descent. Ended up in a field that was densely populated, and the road you are aiming for is guarded by two pretty angry dogs that someone has let run loose (it's a public road WE124 825).

Was considering doing it again, but looking at other possibilities for the route down. Has anyone come down the "firebreak"?

    Thanks in advance.

If using the firebreak I would use it as an ascent rather than descent. It can be very slippery. If you park at layby GR W129 832 and use the firebreak to ascend you can descend to the south by spotheights 622m and 562m and back to your car by the edge of the forestry

If you don't mind walking a longer route I can give you one that avoids houses etc.
