Anyone remember name of writer who killed herself years ago?

Sorry if this is wrong forum but I've tried googling to no avail. I remember maybe about ten years ago reading about an irish female writer who battled with depression for years. In the end she lost the battle and committed suicide. In the article the lyrics of the poem 'Blackbird' were quoted. I think she picked this poem…

I just cannot remember her name. It may well have been an article in the indo.

It was indeed Roberta Gray. That's right, she wrote for the Tribune. Died in 2006 I think. A talented journalist and critic.
