Heptathlon: Barbora Špotáková

Pherekydes

The Decastar Combined events competition in on in Talence at the moment and one interesting competitor is Barbora Špotáková, twice Olympic Javelin champion.

So far, she's managed 14.66 Hurdles, 1.76m High Jump, 13.42m Shot and 25.5 for the 200m and 5.44m in the Long Jump.

Up shortly is the, eh, Javelin.

Benjamin Campaoré, French Triple Jumper, is also competing in the Decathlon.

Like most European athletes, she started off in multi and has a pb of 58**. She threw only 60.72.

Still decent enough.

Finished with a 2:28 800m for a new PB of 5880 pts.

Not bad.

Who else would you like to see having a go at the multis?

Christian Taylor, Aries Merritt and Yelena Isinbayeva would be high on my list.

I'd like to pit Taylor against Cristiano Ronaldo for ****s and giggles. :pac:

Surprisingly it doesn't seem like she's picked up a discus in an age. I'd imagine she'd be way 50m+ if she was minded to train a bit for it.
