Rough running

    I'm currently driving a 1994 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.5L auto.

Only had it a few days but I've noticed, after the car has come up to temperature, it can run a bit rough. Like it's misfiring or running a bit rough. Initially I thought the auto box was getting confused as to what gear to be in but the best way I can describe the issue is it feels like the exhaust is blocked and needs to give a bit of a "cough" and then runs normally.

Any ideas what might be going on? Unfortunately I'm without tools at the mo and can't even pull out the plugs to take a look/replace them.
