Burn the plastic, environmentally very unfriendly but no plastic,no rats.

its not the best fun but its very effective.. in a bucket mix up some bread and milk.. leave it out in a nice pile close enough to plastic. do this for 2 or 3 nites. each nite make less mix. after 2 or 3 feeds they will go crazy for it..;)

nite 4 mix up a batch of bread water and a few hand fulls off cement...... once they come out to eat they will wolf it down.. with a belly of cement they wont go very far... :pac:

I saw a video on Fieldsports last week, he heated some Nutella in a bowl and added some vegetable oil, mixed it up well and poured a trail of it near the rat run. Within a few mins a rat appeared which he shot with an air rifle.

I had a Rat at the end of my lawn that the Kids had seen a few times, I got an old Bird feeder, its basically a wire "pipe", flattened one end of it, squashed a hard boiled egg into it (shell off). Then got the grill, heated it up and poured some dirty rasher oil all over the egg. I then hung it at the end of the lawn off the fence, suspended about 3 inches off the ground so basically the rat couldnt take the bait away. Following day, saw the rat running along the back of the fence and stop dead as soon as he smelt the bait. I got my air rifle, out the kitchen window, waited for it to go up on its hind legs to the bait for a nice clear shot and sent it to rat heaven.

another one i have heard of from the ald lad is to grind glass up in to a powder with small shards in it and mix it up with butter the rat will eat the butter and die of internal bleeding..

Poison. No fun.Saw a rat this evening sitting on his ass beside plastic heap.Just about to let him have it with 410.He took off.And they can run.Let him have it just as he was about to hit the heap.Missed I think. He back tracked but was a little bit wobblely and disappeared.Saw another one stick his nose out between a pallet let him have it.Don't know if I hit him though.I will use 3" magnums tomorrow night.

A Jack Russel be the best guy for the job. Our old one used to run for them snap them and move onto next not wasting a second. I seen him kill as many as 10 in the space of 2mins. He played with the last rat

Too unimaginative. Looking for plots involving ACME contraptions and/or rockets.

The smell of a ferret in where the rats are drives them out running for their lives have heaps of timber in the shed here and often few rats in it so just let the ferret into the timber give him 5-10mins stand at door with terrier or lurcher (on a leash so they dont snap the ferret) and snap snap bye bye rat
