Set out this morning on a 19.5km loop to complete 75km in aid of Samaritans. When I took the bike out of the garage, I noticed it dragging on reversing it to get it out. Closer inspection revealed, even to me, that the front derailleur was out of place and rubbing the back wheel on reverse. I loosened the nut and moved it to a position parrallel with bike. No luck on front crank 3 but other two seemed ok, so I set off with allen keys just in case. Did two circuits and stopped for tea. Adjusted FDR to more oblique angle but no better on next loop. Just then noticed front crank was not changing at all so did all 75km on 8 gears of granny ring! Oh well, didn't get wet. Finished in just under 4 hrs. A bit tired now but that is longest spin so far. Bike is a Trek hybrid. FB
