Going to get Sky installed before the end of the month and i'd like answers to the following please :
    1.
If i get the HD Pack

    (a) Are the HD channels additional to all the standard definition channels or replacing them?

    (b) If i cancel the HD Pack in 12 months time, will every recording i have made in HD be removed?

    2.
    (a) Can i connect the Sky+ box via scart to a HDD DVD recorder to manually record Sky channels?

    (b) Can i transfer Sky+ recordings to the HDD DVD recorder for editing and archiving?

    (c) Can i have the Sky+ box connected to the tv via scart and hdmi at the same time?

Without paying for the HD pack you will still get some HD channels such as RTE2 HD and BBC HD.

Even if you don't go for the HD pack they may give you a free trial of the HD pack so you can make up your mind without committing to 12 months.

HD is only of use on TV's above 32" and you need to be sitting very close. I know a good few people who cannot tell the difference as normal Sky can be good on smaller TVs.

If you are signing up because of a limited time offer, they have them all the time and may even give you it any time if you haggle.

I rang sky today about upgrading to HD. Awful customer service, really poor tone, I might as well of been talking to robot. No offers, no free trial and E309 if I want to upgrade my Sky+HD 250MB box to a 1TB
