So the sister has her eye on a hardtop convertable, 08 and 10k miles seems mint condition. She in a position to buy soon and this car been advertised for at least 4 months but probably been sitting on the lot longer. The dealer looking for 16k.

As i understand dealers want to turn around used cars asap so was wondering how would people experienced in buying go about getting the best deal. Would you tell them that you know the car been sitting around a while and expect 2k off or is it better to be cuter about it, maybe call around, make all the right noises, say the price too high, leave mobile no and wait for a call?. Any advice?.

If your buying a convertible at this time of year you can afford to be fairly harsh with your offers, give them the offer you feel is fair and leave it with them with the summer we've had they haven't exactly been flying of the forecourts

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It's probably worth the money but she should defo be able to get a bargain I think, I'm sure the dealer wants rid.
