Is there any government backed reports out there telling us the safer places to live in Great Britain? Also what is one of the safer but aesthetically pleasing places in UK? Cheers

Yes, check out data.gov.uk. Britain seems great for opening up more & more government data. They have the datasets that you can download & take a look at, and people have then built apps on top of these too.

Aesthetically pleasing I'll leave up to yourself — Shetland Islands has one of the lowest crime rates in the UK & are stunning IMO, but mightn't have the nightlife, facilities or job prospects that you might be looking for
