Airport strike advice- previously in wrong forum

I am due out on my honeymoon on the 1st of Oct. Now with the talk of strike I am wondering what to do. We can't afford to buy different flights and have no other time available to go if we can't get out that day. Should we see if our travel company will change our flights for the previous day? Would they even do this? Would appreciate some advice. Also with "rolling strike" are we more likely to leave thw country even if it's late and we miss our connection? Thanks

only aer lingus are to strike

Are you actually flying with them? If not then theres nothing to worry about.

grrrr, my mistake.

If I had read the indo article fully, it does indeed mention the DAA being served with notice previously for the same strike about the same pension.
Now.... How is it new and important news that aer lingus staff are to strike if its already known the airports they serve from are not going to be open in the first place!
