Prescription sports goggles for 11 year old

My 11 year old son is going back to Karate and he wears glasses. He has to wear the glasses all the time even while sparring.

It was suggested today that he could wear sports goggles but I have never even heard of them. Has anyone of experience or suggestions as to what kind I could use.

Can the lenses in them be changed if his prescription changes - as it changes usually every three-six months.

    Thanks

Most opticians should have a range of sports glasses. Just be careful when choosing a sports frame as some models restrict peripheral vision. It's no problem to change the lenses if your son's prescription changes in the future.

If they're any use to you I have a pair that I'm just about to throw out (got lasered). They're about -3.5 and I have them in the original casing, never worn

I have no idea what -3.5 means :o:o I would really appreciate them if the lens are easily changed if needed.

    Hi,

Just stumbled across this thread, and looking for some advice for my Daughter. Brought her to a Optician yesterday who was very helpful but didnt think she would be able to get the sports glasses that she needed. Her prescription is as follows:

    Right Eye - Left Eye
    +5.0 - +5.0
    +3.5 x 105 - +2.5 x 90

She plays football and her glasses keep getting knocked off. Was thinking of something a bit stronger to try and stop them getting wrecked.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
