I found both 50 and 55 v-max very good. Also where did you buy the Hornady Hollow points and how much if you don't mind me asking?

Have used both rem 50gr hp and hornady 40gr v max molys everything i hit with both was dead 40gr leaves a large exit hole while the 50gr uses up all its energy in a fox

Have found the hornady 50 grain vmax molys pretty good but would prefer the federal 52grain hollow points the best. They sometimes font make too much of a mess unless they hit bone but everything you hit goes down! Getting harder and harder to get and expensive. . .40 a box last time

I had a remmy 700 26 inch bull Barrell. Rate of twist was 1:20 if i remember correctly. Anyway it was a tack driver with 220 swift (50 grain PSP) Remington rounds. However they did leave quite a mess on exit and some terribly badly wounded foxes. Not nice.At the time they were the only swift ammo on market.Later I switched to 55 grain Hornady with ballistic tips. These were a cracking round as they just thumped charlie and very rarely exited(The Light Switch). But I found it impossible to group them and I am led to believe the rate of twist in the barrel was too fast. I believe the 55g required a rate of 1:12 ?. I never tried the 40Grain. The 220 swift is some round all the same nice to see it getting a mention again. Pity there so pricey.

    Thx

ye i agree about the price but when u compare a 223 in hornady and a 220 swift in hornady there isnt much difference in the price but then again my brothers 223 shoots the remington umc 50gr very well and there under 20 euro a box depending where u go
