tile on bitumen paint?

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me can you tile a floor which has been painted with bitumen?will the tile adhesive stick?

    First ask a tiler and/or email/ask the manufacturer of the tile adhesive.

    I've come across this before and we put down 9mm ply on top of the floor before tiling but this suited as the floor was somewhat uneven and doors, skirting borads, etc. were be replaced anyway so could be cut/fitted to suit the increased depth of the tile floor.
