    Not wanting to be nasty or anything but you are applying for a school leadership position. You will be in a position where people will be looking to you for answers. It's a fairly straightforward question.

    And there I was wondering why I wasn't shortlisted. I have yet to be asked about my interests outside of education.

    It's a standard question. I can't see how it's difficult to answer, unless you have no other interests.
