Hey I want to install a subwoofer and a new headunits into my Opel Astra but don't want to do it through halfords. Anybody know of an auto electrian in the naas area (roughly) that would do the job. Thanks

D+R on fishery lane (1/2 mile down past the Toyota garage and dog food factory, down a back road on the left, same yard as the windscreen place)

    Not cheap but very good.

Both those jobs are very straightforward DIY jobs

+1 for Paul Donnelly in Naas, although i think he mainly deals with mechanical electrics (starters, alternators etc). But the work is very good. Have had a starter and dynamo off my tractor done there.

But as colm_mcm said, its not difficult to install some basic audio if you are any way handy.

I know supposedly they are but I've never even seen the back of a headunit before let alone install one

What are you looking for from a subwoofer?

Just want to give my sound system that little bit of a kick but planning on getting a compact one so it fits under the passenger seat

In that case, it's a piece of cake fitting it. The hardest bit is running the cable from the battery through to the cabin.

What stereo do you have in the car?

The stock cd30 but planning on installing An Alpine CDE-W235BT instead

Oh right, you'll need an adaptor or some splicing of wires as you don't have any pre outs for a sub.
