normally i don't flush as i have ewes in good grass following the lambs..however this year with the grass that tight and that many lambs left, have the ewes fairly tight now to make sure they have enough grass during mating...how long should the ewes be flushed before mating to make sure get a good conception rate? ewes are in good nick at the moment..thanks

we usually aim for two weeks before the ram goes in. saying that we have some thinner ewes and some hogget ewes on good grass for the last month and they had a fairly good do for the summer before that.
