Does anyone here still use image maps after mocking something up in photoshop or would you always code from scratch?

Are they a outdated way to do things?

They are outdated for creating websites most definitely but are still useful for scenarios such as a map of Ireland linking to each county, etc.

Very 1997. Should not be used for anything other than actual clickable images like the map example.

Was wondering was looking around youtube and saw a lad using them to code his site and was thinking this is a rather weird way of doing things.
