Hi Lads,

A quick question - I've noticed a few of the local ambulances (07 Merc's) from the HSE that the two rear spots (scene lights?) have a tendency to randomly come on when they're taking off and driving normally.

Is it the one ambulance I keep seeing with a wiring issue or is there a method to the madness?

There can be a issue when selecting first gear on the mercs's. Although you go into first gear, the reverse warning buzzer can sound, the lights can come on and the reverse camera can come on for a second or two. I believe it's a sensor issue and not a gear box thing. The 2 rear scene lights are meant to come on when reversing to illuminate the rear when going in reverse.

Happens to all of them when selecting 1st gear.

This happens with our sprinters in work aswell. It only happens in the newer type ones from 2007 up.
