    Hi
Has anyone heard yet if they have been accepted on the UL mathsPostgraduate program? I think letters were supposed to go out this week if yougot a place. I don’t hold out much hope as I only applied at the last minuteand there seems to have been a big demand

I logged into my UL account and looked under application status and there was a message there saying congratulations as my application had been successful and also that further information would be posted out later in the week.

Got my letter in the post today to say I've been offered a place. Delighted because I have the first of the three OU maths modules done, so now I get a whopping refund on my fees for the second module :) Anyone doing it through Dundalk IT?

Hi there, unfortunately I did not get a place on the course. Sent application within two weeks of it being advertised. Surprised I did not get a place. Anyone else in the same boat??

I didnt get it either but I know someone who applied an hour before applications closed who got it. I rang and enquired why and was told it went on a lottery system because of demand. It is very annoying as I know of at least two people who did maths in the first year of their arts degrees who decided to do it even though they have not taught Maths in the school before now and have full time hours in their other subjects. I would say the demand for a free course was huge which means I will have to go down the open uni route. I would have perfered to pay a slightly subsided course in Ireland which would have limited demand to those who really need to upskill.
