I see a lot of this in my local co-op:

    http://www.jfc.ie/Corripipe&Fittings.html

Has anyone used it and if so for what? Thinking of using it instead of concrete pipe for a drain crossing, would it work??

yes perfect for a drain crossing '

had to divert a stream in a forestry recently and used some 12" and 9" , working a treat.

also split a couple of lengths up the middle and make some sheep feeding troughs

I only use these for drain crossing. Far easier to work with than concrete. I even had to pipe a stream for 200 meters and I used 600 mm ones. They are great because they come in 6metre lengths. It makes it very quick and easy to put down.

great stuff, expensive though, the brown version is agricultural grade, and should be slightly cheaper than the black which is civil engineering grade.i think anyway

    Great stuff,
We used the agri spec, wrapped with Terram 1000, way better than certain other products on the market! Easier work with than concrete pipes plus has more "give" if say a big stone fell on it. Same work needs to be done as regards building and supporting around it.
We used various sizes for various jobs mainly 6" for main drains and 4" middle of fields.

I passed a lorry a few weeks back with huge Corripipes on boards. The must have been 15ft or so in diameter. Hardly made in Ireland ??

Funnily enough was pricing it today for a few drain crossings. Two are wide so will need 1.5 pipes for these crossings. 4in €12, 6in €21.50, 9in €39.

Interesting to see it being used as an alternative to the connaught agri piping. If you surround it with stone surely you wouldn't need the terram? There is also 4in black drainage piping which costs €42 for a 25m roll. Supposed to be much better than the yellow pipe.

I got the 4" also but in lengths. We were cost cutting and trying to achieve same results as connacht agri so didn't wanna invest in stones! Lets just say that strength wise there's no comparison with the jfc stuff.
I think the day of that yellow piping is gone, see people using it and cant understand why, it just gets compacted and broken after a couple of years stones or not. The jfc holds its shape way better.

    Thanks all for the info.

For drain crossings have ye used the perforated or non perforated versions?

I've used both. If the crossing is in wet-ish ground I've used the perforated one with stone over it.

That one I quoted is 100mm wide. The 80mm wide one is seemingly the most popular one and is €35 for a 25m roll. And then there is a 60mm wide one that is €42 but for a 50m roll.

I got a 25m roll of the 80mm wide pipe today and it fitted in the car which was handy.
