I still can't finish my registration on my.tcd.ie because of fees/invoice problems, is anyone else in the same boat? :( I'm feeling under pressure because of orientation on Friday!

sorry you can collect the student card all this week I think but I'm going to collect mine on Friday.

Dude, are you paying fees in installments? Because if you are you have to click that option or it says the remaining installment after you've paid the first is still outstanding. Also you can't collect your student card until your designated course time, each course has it's window in the timetable next week breh. Taking care of bidness...

I'm a postgrad though, our card collection is this week!
I'm paying in instalments, if I ever get that far

Yeah I was paying in installments and it said I had fees outstanding, but I just said bitch I'm in the church of what's happenin now cocksucka and the outstanding fees were designated as the second installment so my balance was zeroed.

Hmm can you collect it next week? I didn't hear anything about collecting it

Still can't access fee invoice here either. After phoning them a few times, I sent an email Tuesday. I got an email back yesterday afternoon with the subject line:
A solution has been provided to your enquiry".
I thought, great, they've finally sent me the invoice. But the email says:
Please note that any files you may have requested or that the team have provided for you can be accessed from the enquiry itself - they are not attached to this email.
So I thought, no problem, I'll follow the link to the enquiry and the form will be there. But it wasn't.
I then thought, silly me, they've probably just updated my my.tcd.ie account to include the form. So I log on. No form. No change.
    ... I guess I'll be re-opening that enquiry...
Do these guys have a physical office that I could call into? Or is that information classified (for good reason at this stage)

No, on tcd.ie the postgrad schedule for collecting the card is this week and I was on the phone to them this morning and that's what one of the people there said too!

I've had that 'solution has been found to your query' email too, but no solution in it or else my invoice just stays the same!
I'm not sure where to go, I was actually thinking the same thing myself, better to deal with it person to person, I am sick dealing with things over the phone or internet!
The person I was talking to this morning said they will be lenient with people this year, and late registration will be accepted until October, but he wasn't definite.

Ok, well at least that's something. Can you actually see an invoice (even a wrong one) on my.tcd.ie? In the "My Finance" section? All I see is an "Enter/Amend bank details" option. What's your application status if you don't mind me asking? Mine is "Conditional Offer - Accepted Firmly".

I don't see an application status anywhere on mine
I'm having payment problems but I can see my invoice now, I couldn't for about a week, had serious problems with it, had all different figures on it every time I checked it and even got sent someone elses invoice!
If you go to the 'Register' bit of my.tcd.ie, go to 'Financials' and hit 'start' can you see your invoice there? that's where mine is.

    I don't see a "Register" bit...
I log in to the portal, and I see four options under "menu"; Home, My Applications, My Finance and Links.
    That's all I see.

Yeah I do have an invoice,it shows a credit figure..paid it all last week..
On another note...does anyone know what internet security software is compatible with Tcd Connect? Would Avg work? I have the free trial on my laptop at the moment and it fails the scan that you do to see if your laptop meets their requirements, would the full package work or should I choose another?

Microsoft security essentials is great, and comodo free if you need a firewall. The test passed for me with those

I'm not sure if I need to register or not? I'm in 2nd year and although I paid my fees last week - I've heard nothing about registration. I've checked my e-mails and everything and have flicked through mytcd.ie and got no information about it. Sent an e-mail to tcd and got no reply a few times!

I'm not sure what I should have done for next week? That is if I need to do anything :)

    Thanks if anyone know :)

There is no option for me either.. I'm a first year doing computer science, maybe they're doing it in batches, similarly to id collection?

You definitely have to register every year. I'm a continuing undergrad too and I've had my fees paid since the end of August and I've had no word either.

I think most of the confusion on this thread is due to people with different statuses (new entrant, continuing undergrad, postgrad). So anyone who's also a continuing undergrad, does your my.tcd.ie still prompt you to do pre-reg? I completed mine a long time ago but it's still on my "My Finances" tab, as is my fee payment form.

Yep, same. I'm going into SS and still have those options too.

Guys, I wouldn't worry about it yet. They did say that registration would be done in batches so I imagine it'll take a while.

When registration was done in person (last year and before), it was done during the first two weeks of term (after lectures started back) for continuing students so there's never been any big rush to get it done before the start of term. Just keep an eye on it and don't worry about it unless you've heard that all your classmates can register and you can't :P I think only first years (not all of em) and postgrads have been asked to register so far.

As regards continuing students, the results of the supplementals only began filtering out this week. By next week TCD will have a full list of who is eligible to continue. I imagine the registration emails will start in earnest then.

That's reassuring :) Last year I was given a timetable for all the things I had to do during freshers week and this year I don't even think I've to turn up for anything (except collecting the student card I thing)

So, I think the problem with my application was that the records office couldn't access my transcript. My TCD undergraduate transcript. Which is located.. .in the records office. It doesn't surprise me. I mean, why would they be able to access their own records.

EDIT: Went and talked to the records office, who told me that the problem seemed to be that the GSO hadn't updated the course information. So off I went to the GSO, who seemed to confirm that the problem was that they couldn't access my transcript when they'd tried (for some unknown reason), but because I'd uploaded it myself over the weekend and they could see it there, they changed the status of my application to "Cond Firm Acceptance To Uncond Offer - No Response", and said that my fee info would probably update tomorrow morning. Here's hoping eh.
