Why? Its Christianity related. If it turns out to be a hoax, so be it. If its a genuine supernatural occurance, AH is not the place.

AH is perfect for fairy tales and superstition

I don't think that Our Lady and the devil would appear together like in a political debate... Assuming that this was supernatural it would be a trick from the devil...

What were Mary and the Devil doing? and in Monaghan of all places?

Ah, we've had that debate before. Apparently she looks like a European girl, and Jesus transmogrifies Himself back into a being a baby for the purpose of apparitions.

An apparition of the Devil, however, is a new one to me. The fact that people were able to recognise him suggests that they must already know him in some way. Unless, of course, he was helpfully wearing a name-tag.

What, you've never heard of people seeing visions of the devil? Fatima? Hell? Standard enough big ugly red man with hooves and horns methinks.

Do you not think the big red horns and pitchfork might have given him away?

Actually scratch the pitchfork, he was in Monaghan lol

In other words, exactly as somebody who has read enough fiction might imagine the Devil would look like?

I can understand the devil living in Monaghan.......

The "Marian" apparition phenomenin is of a satanic imposter crafted by satan in order to undermine our understanding of Jesus' unique and vital significance.
I am saying nothing against Mary this is not Mary it is satan aiming to encorage devotion to Mary taking our focus or our one one Savior Jesus the Messiah.

I can see your point. But usually the messages these entities give are to pray to Jesus more. Also, what about when Jesus appears? satan would hardly appear as Jesus and tell people NOT to pray to Jesus?

    Wow, what a mad thread.

People claim personal revelations all the time - and it's not only limited to Catholics. Shine a torch in the dark...and see what is a worthy example if not Mary.

Catholics happen to venerate Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ. Who was blessed. Yes, she was.

Venerate Mary indeed. But who venerates the devil?

Indeed people do claim to see things. So has anybody seriously (I count 19 out of 32 p1ss-taking posts) heard anything about this particular incident?

No, I have not heard anything. It seems that only some have heard, and are dying to spread the news....what's new? :) There is always somebody looking for attention somewhere and willing to use any means, and God forgive their motives.

Our Lady - St. Mary - Jesus Christ, our saviour, who was both God and Man, she was his Mum, and the very first Christian, the very first. We would do well to imitate her, and be a hand maid.

Someone said pray to Jesus right.
Are we not better off just simply praying to God,afterall praying to idols isn't what Christianity is all about.

Ok Jesus is the son of God,but you also have the holy trinity which combined as one is God.

So how many of you pray to Jesus ?

How many pray to the father ?

I think the holy spirit hardly gets any attention.

It seems to me praying to God the father is more practical, that's when praying like...

You're over-thinking things a bit there. Jesus IS God, just in his Earthly form. The Holy Spirit is God in spirit form, and God the Father is God in his normal form. You can pray to any of them / him.

The view you've just expressed is called Modalism. Most denominations, including the RCC, would see it as heretical.

I don't understand why you think the view is Modalist PDN in relation to the Trinity?

Perhaps praying to any/all of them is not the best expression, but the emphasis is not on a separation that I can see in his/her post? The Trinity is a difficult concept to articulate - sometimes I think St. Patrick nailed it when he tried to describe it in relation to a Shamrock, without being too pedantic, or all knowing about something that is true but a mystery too.

Modalism teaches that Father, Son and Holy Spirit are just God in different forms. Trinitarian theology teaches three distinct Persons in the Trinity.

Maybe it's a case of unfortunate expression sometimes, I think we could all be forgiven for it??...afterall, it's hard to descibe the indescribable at times using words - but to emphasise what is true is always good. Hence your post.

I don't think Newmug was discussing God's nature, but moreso trying to convey to another poster the unification of Father, Son and Spirit - because that poster expressed themselves and their understanding as something that is not 'unified', like one doesn't get a look in for the other - that's seperating God who is afterall one.

You're right to correct, but don't be too harsh either - Newmug was right to address and at least try to convey the unity.

just a thought, if Jesus is god in an earthly form, id presume Jesus is then

dose the bible not talk about Jesus residing in heaven before and after he

    Only before and after?
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
