    It was surprisingly decent.
Nothing spectacular or groundbreaking, but a strong cast nonetheless and consistent laughs throughout.

Watching it as I type and it's nowhere near as poor as I initially thought it would be. There's some very good gags and the cast are all likable. It's not something I'd miss if it was canceled but for an easy mid week time killer it'll work a treat.

I thought 'Animal Practice' was bad but this was worse!

    Awful!

Catching up with this and it's not bad all. It's unoriginal, cliched and every gag and set up has been done by a dozen better shows but the cast are likeable and every now and again there's a few genuine laughs. It's easy to watch trash that I'd never go out of my way to watch but for the odd time I want something easy to watch its not the worst way to spend 22 minutes.

Really warming to the show, it's not something I would miss if it were yanked from the schedule tomorrow but taken on its merits it's not a half bad show. Sure laughs are thin on the ground at times but the cast are likeable and, there's a few decent gags per episode. It's a long way from the brilliance of Community or It's Always Sunny or The Neighbors but I'd take Guys With Kids over Animal Practice, Anger Management or Mike and Molly any day of the week.

I think I need to call time on watching this. I'm just not finding it funny and, worse, it's quite cliched. It strikes me as the new Whitney. i.e. let's make a show about the funnyness of relationships and only that. Now, let's add kids. I don't get the previous comment about Mike & Molly. There's a far better dynamic at play on M&M. It's not such a contrived show.

What really bugs me is the guy with the ex wife, Sheila. If he doesn't want her barging in on is date nights and otherwise generally walking into his appartment unannounced, there's a guy who you can call who will come out and replace the lock on your door so you need a new key to open it. I believe they're called locksmiths.

This show isn't really doing it for me. I'm at episode 4 now I believe so I'll finish out my current run of queued shows and if it doesn't improve it's bye bye. I think it's the weakest of the new comedies.

Latest episode was pretty decent, certainly a step up from the past few weeks. The show is coming into it's own and while it will never be a classic or something that you ever want to rewatch but it easily kills 22 minutes and the cast are decent enough. Really wish though that they would bring Jimmy Fallon into for a bit, he did create the show and sings the theme so it's actually quite surprising that he has yet to appear in an episode.

Zero shock here, NBC has cancelled the show after just one season: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/05/09/guys-with-kids-and-up-all-night-canceled-by-nbc/181830/
