    hi,
I am just looking for some advice on my situation. I am looking into returning to education. I have an ordinary business degree from ul. If i were to go back into another area computing or teaching would my degree count for anything or would i have to start a new course from first year? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It can depend on what the new course is and how similar or otherwise it is to your previous qualifications. You could look for a few courses that really interest you and then contact the colleges around possible advanced entry or course exemptions.
Qualifax is a good site for finding courses: http://www.qualifax.ie
