Registered Students and Staff Members can now borrow and return books through the Fastlane self-service system. You can see more details here -

There have also been changes to the College's printing, photocopying and scanning facilities - including those in the Library. Now managed by Datapac, you can get more information here and here.

Checking books in and out will be available through Fastlane until 15 minutes before the Library buildings close. At the moment the service is limited to Open Shelf (that is not Stacks books) only.

Can you please advise when the Datapac folks will be on site so we can transfer unused photocopy credit over to our new accounts? There are no dates or times listed on the link above.

From Monday 17th September until Friday 21st September a Datapac representative will be available in the Iveagh Hall, Berkeley Library during the hours 10-12 and 3-4 and will carry out transfers of credit. More details here

Thank you! Is it just a week that this service will be in place for? The link above said it would be there for a month, 'for one month there will be a facility in place in the Berkeley Library for students and staff to transfer Kopikat photocopying and printing card balances across to the new system'.

Unfortunately the times listed are not very convenient for health science students on placements in hospitals. Many of us have been back since August 27th with very limited/no access to printer due to this changeover.

Get your class rep to contact them.

Don't worry - I'm only speaking about what's available in the Library.

From the IS Services website -
The Datapac technician is on site [in Áras an Phiarsaigh] Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 5pm and may be contacted as follows:

    E-mail: helpdesk@tcdprint.ie
Email is the preferred method of contact as the Datapac technician can check the email while on the move

    Phone: +353 (0)87 7380498
If your call is not answered then please leave your message on the answering machine indicating your name, student number and the nature of the problem.
