    http://eurocycles.com/ie/product/eurotrek/tdf-road-bike

So am currently on a clapped out old mountain bike and am looking to get a road bike.

I'll be using it for commuting.

What do you guys think of this bike?

Does anyone have it? Any issues or problems?

This will be my first road bike.

Am going to EuroCycles tomorrow to buy it and thought I'd search for some advice first :o

    Thanks!

Don't know anything about the bike but it looks fine to me. Although if I was spending €400 on a road bike I would definitely buy a cared for 2nd hand bike and get a good groupset that should last longer and be nicer to ride etc

I Bought the bike in the end and have been very pleased with it, I have done about 1100k on it...I ride to work most days, some people that are into their bike say its heavy but I got it for exercise not to be fast enough to win next years TDF. I changed the tyres on it just because our local roads are only fit for tractors at best and not skinny tyres, so I put on some hybrid type tyres...but the bike is great no problems with it I am very happy .....hope that helps it just depends on how serious you want to get into cycling ?

Only really want one to get fit and lose a few pounds!
Wouldn't be into racing or anything. I live in Dublin so I'm sure the tyres would be ok for cycling on bus lanes and roads around Dublin?

    Thanks for the reply btw.
