    hi guys
    can anybody recommend a good low - medium price for some operas I can buy from itunes:
    Aida
    Tosca
    Rigoletto
    Nabucco?
    (Like around 10 - 12 euros, not 10 - 20 if possible!!)]
    Not being fussy, I would prefer recordings that were not made back in the 50s but are more recent so the sound quality is up to modent recording standards, ideally 1980s onwards.....

    You might be surprised by the sound quality on many opera recordings from the 60s, even the 50s (in stereo), e.g. the Solti/Decca Ring Cycle, with Das Rheingold recorded in 1958 and still sounding magnificent.

    And of course the performances are often better too, plus they are more likely to be in the low-mid price range.
