F5 problem

    Last week I bought a Compaq presario cq57 http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/laptops-portable-pcs/laptops-and-netbooks/compaq-presario-cq57-366sa-1058120/review not the nicest looking machine in the world, but hey moneys tight. The only problem is every time i hit f5 to refresh the page (like when I'm on boards or what ever) it brings me to my google home page. I know there are worse things going on in the world but its very very annoying. Can anyone help me out to put this right.

    It's probably something simple but I'm not great with technology...at all.
