    Hi all,

I registered with the teaching council in July 2011, I took a year out but paid my renewal fee a few months back. Since returning home, I have heard that I need to be paid at least 300 hours teaching by July 2013 in order to stay registered, is this true?

    Many thanks for your help.

IT would be by 2014, you have three years. And they were asked about it when they visited UCC last year and they said it's possible to extend this time if necessary.

Thank you Dory:) It seems I have missed out on quite a lot of new rules and regulations when I was away. Now all I need is a teaching post and i'll be flying! :)
