Experience of moving accounting bodies

Would be interested to hear from some people who have actually changed from one accountancy body to another in the last few years and how they've got on, mainly ACA to ACCA but any change really.

I see a lot of people are thinking of tackling the ACCA professional exams if the FAE results do not go well.

How have people who have done this before got on with the different set up? For example in relation to the option of sittings in June and December vs once a year at FAE?; or how has minimal study leave for ACCA compared to generous leave for ACA affected them; open vs closed book etc? What are the general pros and cons?

    Just interested to know
    Cheers!
