prob a bit ahead of ourselves as our daughter is not even 5 months old yet but we are putting her name down for schools in the area and were wondering which educate together would be considered the best?

also, do national schools still insist on the child being roman catholic? or any form of christian for that matter or is that all in the past?

our daughter is not nor will she ever be(unless she chooses) christened.

    thanks

Each school has its own policy. Many Catholic schools will prioritise Catholics, but don't insist on a child being christened. The key word is priority-if a school is heavily oversubscribed, non-Catholic children may lose out.

Not only Catholic schools have this policy, the majority of schools in the area I live are Protestant, and put Protestants at the top of the list, above siblings.
Atheists are down the bottom, after Catholics and any other religion.
