Has anyone used it yet? I love the look but afraid to try it out in case I damage my hair.

I have tried it,but i dont have my hair previously coloured or bleached,as it might wreck your hair then, its very effective colour and comes out the way it should, you can control the intensity of colour by brushing it on where you want and how you want..

It reminds me of loreal feria colour(with the brush also) when it first came out years back..

Hi - Got 2 boxes last week in Dunnes in Blanchardstown... Have looked in Boots before getting it there and they didn't have it in stock.

It was €6 in Dunnes, think the RRP is around €12!

Sheela - did you try it yet? how did you get on? picked up a box in Dunnes, but I won't get to use it yet & I'm a bit nervous tbh :)

Hi - am a bit nervous too, as the lady in Dunnes said she'd used it and it turned her hair white and she had to put another colour over it ....

Am going to use it tomorrow evening and will report back then...

Finally got over my fear and used this this evening.

Have to say that I love it. The application with the brush is great, it means that the graduation between your own colour and the Ombred part is not too severe.

Left colour on for 25 minutes, checked how it was developing and then left it for another 7 minutes. I really could have left it on for another 10 or 12 but wasn't that brave!

One thing is that the conditioning shampoo that comes with it isn't great, so I used it and then another conditioner after....

L'Oreal Preference Colours are on special in Dunnes for €6, so think that this is great value as I have gotten Balayage done in Toni and Guy and the Style Club and both times the colour didn't come out as my hair is apparently too dark (its just a normal dark brown!)

Sheela, is your hair natural or coloured? Just wondering as mine is dyed brown...not sure how it would take.

    Hey guys,

I'm thinking of trying out L'Oreal Preference Wild Ombre, but I'm in between two minds whether to chance it or not, as some reviews say it's terrible and their hair went ginger and others say it was fantastic.

I already got my hair professionally dyed back in December (ombre style - original dark brown on top and then a golden blonde from mid to end lengths) and I really liked it. The colour hasn't gone out yet but I want to top it up and I was thinking of getting one of these kits rather than forking out more money. But I'm worried it will go ginger and every home dye that I have used in the past turned out completely different to the colour advertised. Also I don't know which colour to choose, would I choose the medium one? Since the ends are already golden blonde but the mid lengths have begun to fade back to dark brown?

    Any help appreciated :)

Oh and Mods, sorry to resurrect this old thread but I didn't think there was any to need to start a new one.

I didn't like it at all and had to dye straight over it, others have had better results though.

    Hi

I just wanted to share my experiences of using this to give heads up to anyone interested in using it....

I initially thought this was great and used it three times in a row. But since you are basically bleaching your hair it made an absolute mess of my hair. Yesterday I had to get all the highlighted part of my hair which was about two/three inches cut off, as the ends were all split and in extremely bad condition. I was using with a TIGI or Keratase conditioner which made no difference to the condition, so was left with no alternative but to get my hair cut short.
