TPLINK MR3220 and Vodafone K4511

Anyone got this combination to work.

I am trying to help a relative set this up over the phone and tried manual settings for Vodafone but it just hangs at the connecting stage.

Vodafone Ireland seems to have being predefined with live.vodafone.com as apn which didnt work but we also tried hs.vodafone.ie.

Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

If you are on the phone with someone else this should help a bit http://www.tp-link.com/resources/simulator/TL-MR3220/index.htm then at least you'll know what the other person should be looking at.

I always do a manual config and these are the settings from vodafones website.

APN: hs.vodafone.ie
Username: vodafone
Password: vodafone
Dial number: *99#

iirc it does work OK with the other APN

But sorry haven't tried that specific combo, provided the first status page as seen on the link above shows a working modem and some signal strenght then it should be OK.

Check also there is no pin number set up on the voda sim if there is put it in a phone and remove it - an issue thats bitten me a couple of times

No it doesn't work with either apn for me and yes thats what I put in manually - I asked about pin but maybe phone is only way to truly verify as I thing the vodafone mobile app allows you to store the pin

my mistake upgrading to latest firmware solved the problem and the key is working now with the 3220
