i am hoping to build grass from now to november on 5 acres and graze anytime from november 1st with 17 friesian heifer weanlings, it got 2 bags of 21.2.5.10 on saturday,

should it have sufficient cover in november?

should the grass be of high quailty?

how much meal would you supplement per head on this grass?

how man days grazing should i get with 17 weanlings average weight 200kgs, eating say 2kgs of meal daily

    thanks

I'm guessing 3 weeks to a month, 2 ha with 1500 kg DM/ha =3000kg, Demand will be about 8 x 17 per day= 136 kg per day. Thats 22 days if they eat 8 kg dm day and if you get a cover of 1500 kg/ha on it by 1 Nov.

How much is on it now?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
