Galway Hooker in Bottles

I'm heading to Dublin at the weekend and as I'm staying with a mate, I want to bring him a few bottles of Hooker for a pressie. I'm so used to drinking it on tap here that I've never gone out of my way to buy a bottle of it before. I know some off licences around the city do bottles but I don't know where exactly. If anyone can fill me in I'd appreciate it!

McCambridges and fine wines both stock it.

Loads of offies in Dublin do too.

You know it's brewed in Roscommon, right?

No I didn't! I'd doubt that'll put me off the beer though. It's too nice :D

If you like Irish Pale Ales you should give 8 Degree's one a go. Much nicer than Hooker imo. They have it on tap in a few bars in Dublin (apparently loads of craft beer pubs have opened there since I moved down to Galway, figures)

Although my personal favourite is the Brewdog IPA. Nomnomnom.

Not for long. They are moving to a bigger facility in Galway shortly. Think it's out Moycullen direction.

They've been talking about that for years, I'll believe it when I see it :P.

Be nice if someone else moved into their spot in Roscommon if they do move back to the city :)

True. Apparently they have actually sourced a premises this time though. They just don't have the capacity in Ros anymore.

Seaneh, you do know there is also a forum for people from Athlone right? ;)

New brewery is essentially up and running

OP Why not bring him some of the Galway Bay Brewery stuff? (Available in most off licences these days also)
