for some reason lately anytime i bring an .ai into indesign its coming in with a white background, ive checked the .ai over and over and its definitely transparent! changing it to .eps has been working but not today!

my .ai came in with a white background so i changed it to .eps.
the design has white boxes set at 50% opacity but they are coming into indesign 100% white!

i wondering has someone changed a setting on either illustrator or indesign to make this happen coz it was fine before (work computer btw!)

    any ideas guys?

The box in Indesign which contains the .ai, is it transparent or white?

Possible you are looking at a low-res preview in Indesign.
You could check if overprint preview is on or off.
